Replacement of Fine Aggregate by Iron Ore Tailing (IOT) in Concrete for Sustainable Development

چکیده

An increase in iron ore processing to meet the global demand has resulted generation of billions tons tailings (IOT). Also, construction activities led over exploitation river beds for sand. In this present study, fine aggregates are replaced by M20 grade concrete at varying percentages 20%,30%,40%,50%,60%. The cubes and cylinders were casted their compressive strength split tensile evaluated 7 days 28 days. It is observed from test results that aggregate exhibited a good mechanical compared control mix. increased with replacement concrete, which shown an improvement 18.41% conventional concrete. incremental 10.3 % was case 60 tailings.
